Overview

To develop in conjunction with Kingston University a cost effective and mobile, AV presentation system. The system was for use where a requirement existed to demonstrate multiple types of media, PC images, DVD and VHS videos. There was also a need to standardize on the audiovisual equipment used within the University.

Impact Marcom fulfilled the University’s requirement by producing a stylish wooden lectern that also housed the presentation and control equipment.

The lectern, now known as RoomMaster, contains a 15” LCD Extron touchpanel, Extron switcher, Denon amplifier and a DVD/VHS player. In addition the unit contains a gooseneck microphone and a shelf to house a laptop and visualiser.

Along with aesthetic looks, it was important that RoomMaster allowed the University to standardize on the audiovisual equipment, allowing lecturers to become fully familiar with the functionality of the technology.

RoomMaster has now been successfully installed into other training environments within education and Government establishments.
