Q What does IMWebcaster do?
A

IMWebcaster captures and stores knowledge as video, audio, images, html, metadata, etc., making it a true rich-media appliance. Knowledge is distributed by broadcasting live, posting for on-demand viewing, or writing to storage media(cd/dvd/portable storage).
 

Q What format is the video streamed in?
A

IMWebcaster uses the Microsoft Windows Media 9 CODEC

Q What bandwidth does IMWebcaster use when streaming live presentations?
A

When streaming both Video and RGB streams IMWebcaster uses 2 x 300Kbs

Q What are the server requirements for distribution?
A

IMWebcaster requires a server running Microsoft Windows Streaming Services for the streaming  portion of the presentation and any standards based HTML server for the web portion of the presentation. Microsoft Windows 2003 server is supplied with the streaming services components as standard
 

Q How many concurrent connections can the server facilitate?
 
A

This is dependant on the capabilities of your network infrastructure

Q Can IMWebcaster record and stream a presentation live simultaneously?
A

Yes, IMWebcaster can perform this function

Q Can you edit the video, slide metadata and slide images after a presentation has been given?
 
A

Yes, you can edit all aspects of the presentation before it is published to your on-demand playback servers

Q What client software is required?
A
