History

Established in 1974, Impact Marcom is the amalgamation of two of the UKs most well established Audiovisual and Videoconferencing re-sellers and system integrators, Impact Europe and Marcom Systems.

2007 – Awarded ‘Videoconferencing Project of the Year’, for the second year running, at the AV Awards for the West London Cancer Network installation.

2007 – Supplied and installed audiovisual equipment to the West London Cancer Network.

2007 – AiM, the Impact Marcom-designed Audiovisual Information Management online data reporting tool is launched, enabling engineers and clients to access FM-data, reports and site-specific information.

2007 – The ‘E-cat’ bespoke online catalogue is launched for the HEPCW, LUPC and SUPC educational consortia.

2007 – Impact Marcom host the ‘HD – The Bigger Picture’ event at Sony’s UK headquarters.

2007 – Julian Phillips appointed new Managing Director of Impact Marcom UK.

2007 – Appointed Sony Specialist Dealer.

2007 – The ‘E-Cat’ bespoke online catalogue is launched for the University of Reading.

2007 – Awarded contract for the supply and installation of audiovisual equipment for Blackrock, the global investment management services organisation.

2006 – Awarded ‘Videoconferencing Project of the Year’ by AV Magazine for the Access Grid installation at the University of Manchester.

2006 – Supplied and installed audiovisual equipment for Virgin Megastores first concept retail store in Manchester’s Arndale Centre.

2006 – Fredd Causevic appointed CEO for Impact Europe Groups AB.

2006 – Launch of the e-commerce catalogue, enabling customers to purchase over 1600 audiovisual products online via the Impact Marcom website.

2006 – Renewal of a 3-year enabling agreement with the University of Southampton, appointing us as a continued supplier for audiovisual supplies and installation.

2006 – The Belfast office moves to larger premises, maximising our presence within the city and in Northern Ireland.

2006 – Awarded contract with the SUPC (Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium), appointing us as a supplier to a large range of educational establishments within the Southern Universities region.

2006 – Award of Tameside contract, appointing us as a supplier to educational establishments within their Lancashire region.

2006 – Awarded contract with the NWUPC (North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium), appointing us as a supplier to a large range of educational establishments within the North West UK.

2006 – Awarded a DCSA contract to supply a range of audiovisual equipment to the Ministry of Defence, further strengthening Impact Marcom’s position within sales to the military and government sector.

2005 – Completed the installation of an Access Grid video collaboration system at the University of Manchester, enabling students to use enquiry-based learning in a dedicated, state-of-the-art centre. The project was later awarded ‘Videoconferencing Project of the Year’ by AV Magazine.

2005 – Awarded a sole-supplier contract for the supply of audiovisual and videoconferencing equipment to the University of Reading.

2005 – The Impact Marcom website, www.impactmarcom.co.uk, is launched.

2004 – New premises open in Belfast, concentrating on audiovisual and videoconferencing sales.

2004 – Impact Marcom develop RoomMaster, a mobile presentation system, in conjunction with Kingston University.

2002 – UK Group relocated to new premises in Sunbury on Thames, Middlesex.

2001 – Impact Europe AB, a Swedish quoted group acquire Impact Systems and merges with Impact AV in the UK.

1998 – AV Facilities Management division is established in its own right, securing a contract with Impact AV in the UK.

1998 – Awarded a contract to supply the Ministry of Defence with LCD projectors.v

1998 – Impact Audio Visual acquired by Konftel Group, a Scandinavian publicly quoted company.

1998 – Awarded contract for the supply of audiovisual equipment to the Bank of England Conference Centre.

1995 – Awarded sole-supplier contract for the supply of videoconferencing systems to the Ministry of Defence.

1995 – Developed the first computer animated walkthrough visualisation for Nortel Networks.

1994 – Sony appoint Marcom Systems as their first videoconferencing reseller.

1994 – Implemented a full audiovisual system for Informix Software at Bedfont Lakes.

1994 – Completed a project for the Crisis Management Centre for British Airways at the Compass Centre.

1992 – Nationwide contract awarded for Jarvis Hotels for the supply or rear projection systems within their conference centres.

1991 – Awarded a nationwide contract for the supply and installation of medial walls to Hilton Hotels.

1990 – Impact Audio Visual formed as a multi-disciplined division of Total Office Group, integrating audiovisual systems into the office furniture design and build marketplace.

1989 – Awarded a contract to equip twelve videoconferencing suites for IBM.

1989 – Awarded sole supplier status for Ford Motor Company and Wang Computers.

1989 – One of the first companies to enter the videoconferencing market as a VTEL and CLI reseller.

1989 – New offices open in Manchester, concentrating on audiovisual and broadcast video hire and sales.

1987 – Company secures a significant order with Lloyds Back for the supply of interactive multimedia training systems.

1986 – Marcom Presentations & Hire move into new premises and stage the Tesco Annual Management Conference featuring a 96-cude video wall.

1985 – Secured a significant order with Barclays Bank for maintenance of their video replay systems through the branch network.

1981 – Appointed one of the first Sony dealers within the UK.

1974 – Visual Marcom Systems commences trading. The company concentrated on the supply of photocopiers and overhead projectors.
